Legal Nurse
Observer
We are Registered Nurses
Your client is already stressed. The last thing they need is an attorney at their defense medical examination. (This is not a personal medical examination.) People, in general, are not comfortable in a doctor's office. A registered nurse can ease their anxiety.
We Observe your Client
The legal nurse observer observes your client from the moment they arrive at the office until they depart. This includes assessing the plaintiff’s movements, expression of discomfort, and mobility before, during, and after the evaluation. Injured people trust nurses. They talk to nurses about things they won’t tell their friends, attorneys, or even doctors.
Defense Medical Examination Observer
Client Pre-Preparation
A legal nurse consultant is a registered nurse. Having a trained nurse observer meet with a client before the assigned medical doctor's appointment will help them understand why they must go to this doctor and not their own physician.
Informing the Physician.
We inform the physician of the “stipulations of the Response letter.” Physicians usually take full medical, surgical, medication, and social history from their patients. Usually, the response letter allows the examiner to obtain a history of the injuries sustained in the accident. We can assure you that we will assertively stop your client from answering if the examiner asks a “forbidden” question.
Independent Medical Evaluation Observer
Avert Uncensored Deposition
Be assured that you will receive a detailed report and audio recording of everything that transpired during this evaluation. During the physical exam, we observe and report which tests were performed, which standard tests were not, and which tests were performed incorrectly by the examiner. I also comment on the plaintiff’s responses to these tests and pain complaints of painful expressions.
